The Smithfield Nocturne this year gave me a pretty helpful taste of street circuit racing. The Cardigan circuit that I'll be doing tomorrow is about a 2 minute lap at race pace I would estimate; I was doing 2:30 in and out of traffic.
I also got to test out my new wheels and tubs to check that everything's bedded in nicely.
I did about 15 laps of the circuit to give me a heads-up on the best lines to take tomorrow.
I bumped into event organiser Keith at BikeBikeBike the LBS. (Local Bike Shop to the un-initiated).
The published pre-entry of 17 has gone up a bit and we're expecting a field of around 40 for the Elite Race tomorrow. Can't wait.
